Responsible for directing account management and retention activities for the companys large group medical and specialty products. Helps to direct sales and/or renewal activities with annual Premium Equivalents less than $500 million and membership less than 100,000 contracts. Works directly with functional areas such as new sales, sales support, underwriting, implementation and other operational partners in order to best support the needs of our clients. Exemplifies integrity and leadership to both internal and external partners.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Provides leadership and strategic direction to ensure profitable growth.
- Develops strategies and executes sales plans to achieve membership growth and financial goals.
- Develops sales, marketing and compensation plans.
- Cultivates and motivates staff to achieve market-specific sales and retention goals.
- Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports in order build a high-performing culture and team.
- Articulates Anthem value story to the market.
- Represents Anthem to various external stakeholders.
- Reports to a State RVP.
Qualifications
Requires a BA/BS; 8 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Experience working in the managed care/healthcare insurance industry strongly preferred.
