As a Director in Transaction Strategy and Execution Value Creation - Technology, you will be a vital member of the team managing and executing IT focused projects. Youll execute and manage projects across all sectors, supporting our client service team in developing and executing strategies for transactions. Part of your role will also involve developing experience across a range of different type of engagements, including pre-deal (eg operational and carve-out planning) and post-deal (eg integration planning, tracking). Having a commercial mind-set is key to this consulting-based role.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or Analytics and 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 3 years of related work experience.
  • MBA is preferred.
  • Significant management consulting experience in mergers & acquisitions, including integrations, divestitures, and/or carve-outs.
  • Experience in at least two or three of the following areas:
    • Mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, re-structuring and turnaround preferably with Private Equity (PE) clients
    • Pre-sign IT due diligence, sign to close integration/separation planning; and post close (Value Creation engagements preferred)
    • Advising IT leadership (CIO, IT Director) and business leadership (CEO, CFO, COO, BU President, or similar) on IT issues and opportunities
    • IT cost analysis for carve-outs and IT synergy analysis for mergers and acquisitions.
    • Digital and Technology strategy and operating model design
    • IT cost optimization, IT outsourcing and end to end IT Transformation
    • IT applications and infrastructure rationalization and re-platforming
    • Widely used enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM and HRIS
    • Managing large transformational IT projects
  • Ability to:
    • Assess technology issues and opportunities and present them to financial buyers such as Private Equity Partners, Investment Bankers etc.
    • Analyze complex IT spend and utilize benchmarks effectively
    • Build and grow strong professional relationships both internally and with clients
    • Multi task and potentially manage multiple transactions across different industry areas
    • Prioritize when working on multiple projects, and the confidence to engage and integrate directly into our clients teams
    • Adapt to new challenges and ideas
  • Knowledge of:
    • Key IT management processes and industry frameworks (eg CMMI, COBIT, ITIL, Six Sigma, Lean, ISO 2700x, TOGAF, project management life cycles, systems development life cycles (SDLC), PMBOK, Prince2, SAS70, SSAE 16 etc.)
    • Regulatory and compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, HITECH
  • Business development experience (opportunity qualification, identification and sizing; proposal writing; presentation to client during orals presentations).
  • Deep knowledge in one or two key sectors such as financial services, healthcare, pharma, manufacturing, automotive, energy and retail would be a plus.
  • Excellent problem solving, project management, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills (written and verbal) with the ability to communicate across different client levels and types (strategic, PE, start-ups or similar).
  • Dedication to teamwork
  • Excellent analytical skills and the confidence to translate complex data into meaningful insights.
  • Experience leading and managing in complex business environments.
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 80% on short notice.

Ideally, you'll also have

  • A proven record of excellence in an IT mergers or acquisitions transactions role.
  • Experience gained within another large professional services organization.
  • Established networking skills in a relevant industry.
