Job Description

Scope and Organizational Impact

This position provides technical support to the employees and any authorized users of the WRN computer networks, devices and related software. Responds to telephone calls, email, and personnel requests for technical support. Documents, tracks and monitors the problems to ensure timely resolution. Interacts with other levels of support resolve issues, escalates when there is a risk of exceeding the allotted time, and communicates with internal customers about their support requests. The IT Support Technician provides an exceptional customer service experience to all who request services.

Role and Responsibilities

Provide support for all IT products and services over the phone on in person (in office or on-site); answering questions, troubleshooting problems, teaching or instructing users regarding software or hardware functionality and policies.

Elevates complex or high priority issues to the appropriate person for resolution.

Resolves high level work orders in an effective and timely manner.

Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.

Install and configure new hardware, software and network components.

Ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability by leveraging monitoring tools.

Assist with planning and rollout of technology related initiatives.

Managing companys MDM (Mobile Device Management) system.

Learn and work with new technologies on a constant basis.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field.

3 - 5 years experience working within an IT support environment handling tier1, 2 & 3 level issues.

Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information.

Proficiency with the following technologies required:

Microsoft Windows 7/8/10

Microsoft Office 2007/2010/2012/2016

Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012

Active Directory

DHCP

DNS

Routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks

Workstation imaging software deployment tools

Apple iOS devices

Skills and Abilities required

Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.

Ability to build a positive rapport with end-users and provide high level customer service.

Strong problem solving, organizational, analytical and time management skills.

Positive and professional demeanor.

Strong presentation and communication skills.

Bilingual - Spanish/English preferred.
