The Role: Director, Total Rewards & HRIS

The Total Rewards & HRIS Director reports directly to the Vice President, Total Rewards and HR Operations and is responsible for partnering in the development and implementation of Total Rewards strategies and programs including all compensation/benefit plans, incentives, recognition, compliance and HRIS administration. This role is responsible for the day to day integration of rewards strategies to enhance employee performance and achieve organizational results. This position is a hands-on role and ensures all people processes, systems and associated information are streamlined, efficient and effective in supporting our people initiatives.

Essential Job Functions
Lead a team of Compensation, Benefits, and HRIS professionals in the effective delivery of total reward offerings at ENGIE North America.
Collaborate and participate in decision-making with Vice President, Total Rewards & HR Operations and other key leaders and resources in IT, Finance, and other departments to achieve objectives.
Partner with Integration team on the HR and Total Rewards due diligence for potential acquisitions. Work closely with the VP, Total Rewards & HR Operations to develop and successfully execute plans to on-board acquired companies onto ENGIE compensation and benefit plans where appropriate.
Communicate effectively with management and all employees regarding compensation programs and benefits plans and related questions and issues.
Serve as primary resource for designing and implementing Total Rewards strategies and programs that are aligned and integrated with business plans/needs to enhance the companys talent attraction, retention, performance and development initiatives.
Effectively design and implement pay programs that support a high-performance culture and align to the organizations people strategies.
Develop, implement and manage all compensation programs and processes, market adjustments, performance bonus, incentive programs and pay for performance plans with accuracy and efficiency.
Develop and administer regular compensation reviews to analyze trends and external benchmarks and make appropriate recommendations regarding changes to be made to maintain competitiveness as well as internal equity.
Ensure quality management for health, welfare, and disability benefits plans, including analysis and modification of plans, program administration and compliance, cost effectiveness and service delivery.
Manage negotiation meetings with benefit vendors and/or brokers.
Stay up-to-date on and ensure compliance with applicable government regulations.
Provide leadership and development to direct reporting staff.
Serve as primary interface to IT, Payroll and Finance to identify and resolve HRIS issues to ensure the HRIS platform meets business and HR needs.
Other duties as designed.


Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Outlook required. Prior experience with ADP Vantage HCM a plus.

Essential Physical Abilities

Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to use personal computer, calculator, etc.
Could involve some lifting.


10 years human resources, compensation, and benefits experience.
Bachelor's degree; MBA a plus.
CEBS or WorldatWork certification preferred.
