Job Summary
Manages the team for designing, modifying and managing activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production and release and into maintenance of the product and end of life decision. Serves as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test and quality as the product(s) move to completion and distribution. Interacts with marketing, sales, technical support, QA, manufacturing to ensure that products have necessary features, cost parameters, manufacturability goals and reliability targets. Promotes investigation and application of new technologies and industry trends to product management activities. Manages the activities of individual contributors or supervisors in a section or department with accountability for goals, objectives, operational policies. Participates in the development of functional strategy. Has responsibility for hiring, termination, performance and salary decisions.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing a team with multiple cross functional responsibilities including the following:
  • Application Development/Certification and QA Validation
  • Android OS Development SME
  • Chameleon Operational support
  • Configuration Management Support for future device roadmap
  • Device compliance validation against Sprint Specs and requirements
This person will also be required to Interact with marketing, sales, Network, Engineering and Internal Application Development groups to ensure that products have necessary features, cost parameters, manufacturability goals and reliability targets. This person will promote the investigation and application of new technologies and industry trends to product management activities.
You will manage the activities of individual contributors or supervisors in a section or department with accountability for goals, objectives, operational policies.
Participate in the development of technical features for portfolio strategy.
Has responsibility for hiring, termination, performance and salary decisions.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and eight years related work experience or twelve years related work experience post high school
  • Eight years product design experience
  • Five years Project Management experience
  • Three years supervisory or management experience
Preferred Qualifications The ideal candidate will have two years of experience in the following:
  • Mobile application development - Android APIs, Android Software Development Kit SDK and Android Studio
  • Object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
  • One modern object-oriented language such as Java, C/C++, etc.
  • Basic understanding of Git, SQL, XML, JSON and Web Services
  • Sprint Device GTR Requirements and Development Process
  • QXDM Logging and analysis experience
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence Software
