Job Description Responsible for winback, upsells, cross sells and overall revenue growth of Sage SBS, SMB and MM customers through direct sales groups, assigned business partners or certified consultants. Manages the activities of a sales team in order to close opportunities, maximize results and ensure satisfaction with current customers.
This seasoned sales professional will have a record of sales management accomplishments in the technology industry. This individual will possess excellent leadership skills and have prior experience managing a high performing sales team. The ideal candidate must be an effective strategist and communicator who can mentor and monitor a sales management team to drive sales our products. Comfortably operate within an environment where financial targets are transparent, highly measureable, and personal accountability for your targets. It will be essential that you have the ability to manage multiple ongoing work streams and are comfortable supporting a broad spectrum of industries and business models
Key Responsibilities Develop and execute on sales strategy for assigned area in order to increase revenue
Evolve the sales strategy based on Sage overall strategic objectives, business model changes, pricing strategy and product/service offering changes
Assess go-to-market strategy and works with management team to make recommendations for changes
Manage a team responsible for generating revenue with customers through direct sales, maintaining an active pipeline, calling on customers and working through the entire sales cycle
Work cross-functionally to coordinate efforts to increase revenue growth and partner/customer loyalty.
Maintain a detailed understanding of product updates and works with product marketing to articulate improvements related to customer satisfaction and renewal
Track and analyze sales activities, customer data and customers status. Develops actions plans
Coach and develop team members
May represent Sage at conferences and customer events, as required
Must have: (5 or 6 Max)
10+ years of inside sales experience
5+ years of inside sales management experience
5+ years software selling experience
Proficiency in English language, verbal and written
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
