As the Director of Driver Recruiting, Retention & Fleet Capacity, you will be responsible for growing the XPO Express Fleet in multiple locations, maintaining current fleet operations and leading the expansion of identified regional business lines. You will focus on net fleet growth by driving recruiting and retention strategies, working with a 500-1000 truck operation and collaborating and influencing business leaders. What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Develop and implement an effective plan, process and materials for the driver recruitment program to meet driver growth targets
  • Lead the effectiveness of branch operations and the interaction and relationship with drivers, including training and retaining staff and IC to meet established fleet size goals
  • Manage P&L for branch location
  • Create and deliver a plan to build truck/driver capacity and culture among the XPO driver teams
  • Keep current with industry trends including rates, carriers, load capacities and equipment
  • Maintain responsibility for branch operational KPIs

What you need to succeed at XPO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Management, HR or equivalent work experience
  • 7 years of recruiting management experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows applications

It'd be great if you also have:

  • 10 years of experience in Expedite and Regional Operations
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Ability to perform complex analysis of data, processes, policies, procedures and/or systems; produce unambiguous, comprehensive and accurate interpretations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience; compose thorough and detailed technical documentation, procedures, manuals, etc.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively supervise, mentor and influence employees
