Description

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for the experience of thousands of candidates applying to jobs across Humana every day. They will closely partner with the Talent Acquisition (Recruiting) organization to understand the candidate experience and work to improve it. They will primarily be responsible for configuration of the Symphony Talent Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) System along with various Career sites. Additionally, the senior software engineer will also configure Workday Recruiting Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) & other software applications based on business requirements. In Beyond partnering with Talent Acquisition, the individual in this position will partner with the other HR teams including members of the HR Systems team, IT, and other organizations supporting the candidate experience and ensuring its stability. This position will configure and support the systems supporting the candidate experience including the Symphony Talent CRM, career sites, and Recruiting work streams within the Workday HRIS in addition to other applications that may be included as we continue to evolve.

Responsibilities

Partnering with other teams within Talent Acquisition & HR as well as throughout Humana, the Senior Software Engineer will understand the business needs, help to define requirements, recommend changes, configure the systems (Symphony Talent CRM, Career sites, Workday), and test to ensure change requests help to improve the associate experience across Humana. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for deep knowledge of Symphony and other systems utilized including features and functionality that are not yet utilized by Humana, but may be of benefit to the organization. This individual will partner with others on the Strategic HR Systems team to understand impacts of various change requests as data and the experience flow downstream to Workday and other systems throughout Humana's ecosystem. Additionally, they will work closely as the primary contact with the CRM vendor (Symphony Talent). As issues or questions arise, they will serve as tier 3 support to end users of the system, consistently working to ensure an ideal candidate, recruiter, and manager experience. With the candidate at the center of our design decisions, along with recruiters and hiring managers, this individual will consistently work to ensure the system is efficiently and effectively working within the environment to ensure their success expressing interest, applying to, and hopefully eventually joining Humana.

The Senior Software Engineer standardizes the quality assurance procedure for HR systems including Symphony Talent, oversees testing and debugging and develops fixes, researches issues and makes necessary adjustments and/or recommendations to resolve complex software related issues, and begins to influence the TA candidate strategy. Additionally, they will make decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction as well as exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications

  • Three+ years of experience configuring and supporting the Symphony Talent CRM/Career sites or similar CRM
  • Experience configuring an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Deep understanding of the relationship between the CRM and ATS, including how they can be leveraged for a great candidate experience
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues through Workday reporting and configuration
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence and coach without hierarchical responsibility
  • Ability to leverage technology and tools to communicate, track, document, and analyze the utilization of talent systems
  • Experience working as part of an interdependent team supporting an enterprise HR application
  • Ability to engage and develop partners and primary system users
  • Associate's Degree in a related field or comparable experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with the Symphony Talent CRM and Career Sites
  • Implementation experience with Symphony Talent or another CRM including stabilization with a company of similar scale and complexity to Humana
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
