SAP Fieldglass Data Governance & Strategy team is a new team under the Data Operations and Management organization where we are passionate on delivering company-wide consistent, reliant and compliant data. What you'll do:

Position Title: SAP Ariba iXp Intern - Data Enthusiast

Location: Naperville, Illinois

Expected start date to end date: June 8,2020 - August 14, 2020

In this role, you'll:

  • Spend most of your time designing and documenting complex data flow and data context diagrams for our data ecosystem map
  • Comfortable with communicating and interviewing stakeholders
  • Strong interest in data analysis and data visualization
  • Ability to query databases including complex joins, and sub-querying
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements, and develop policies for data governance

Who you are:

We're looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

  • Candidates to currently be enrolled in an undergraduate or masters degree program which is applicable to the position (computer science or equivalent proven experience).
  • Programming skills in SQL, added plus if experience in Java, JavaScript but not required
  • Strong communication skills that include the ability to effectively interview and gather information for documentation.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment working with multiple teams across various geographies.
  • Preferred experience: Data Flow Diagramming, Excel, Mathematical and statistical skills are also valuable to help gather, measure, organize, and analyze data.
