Develop and apply mathematical, statistical and machine learning theory and methods to drive innovation, new product ideation, experimental design and testing, complex analysis and delivery of data insights. Lead and support implementation of vision for new products for clients. Identify industry trends and needs for innovation analytics and create new product vision in response to industry trends and needs. Oversee and support the progress of multiple innovation analytics projects by briefing indirect reports and stakeholders with respect to project direction and goals, reviewing and revising the work of indirect reports and ensuring timely delivery. Play a key role in developing new methodologies. Ensure documentation of the new methodologies and best practices. Work with external partners to implement new methodologies. Partner with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test new consumer insights and innovation related market research methodologies. Interact with clients to clearly understand client needs, and to provide possible solutions for the client's consideration. Oversee (without supervisory authority) a team of 3-5 (senior) data scientists and interns. Travel domestically/internationally up to 5 times per year, 1-4 days per trip. Tools used: Java, Scala, SAS, R, Python, cloud computing platforms (AWS and/or Azure).


Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Marketing Science, Social Science, Engineering or a related field, with a quantitative focus (foreign equivalent degree acceptable), plus 3 years of market research experience. Must include at least 1 year of experience with: machine learning classification and regression algorithms; machine learning natural language processing algorithms; multivariate statistics (parametric and non-parametric); Bayesian statistics; time series analysis; data extraction, cleaning and aggregation techniques; Java and/or Scala; Python, R, SQL and Cloud computing technologies such as AWS, Azure and/or IBM cloud. Must be willing to travel domestically/internationally up to 5 times per year, 1-4 days per trip.
