Position Overview

Align seeks a recent college graduate that is passionate about Workplace Technology and the next generation Digital Workplace. This person will receive training and coaching to develop the appropriate technical and consultative skills to become a technology consultant on our team, acting as an IT advisor on new office build outs helping our clients build a Modern, Mobile and Agile Workplace. The End User Technology Innovation Analyst will address the pivotal role of researching, evaluating and integrating cutting edge end user technology (such as MS Modern Workplace solutions). This will include evaluating new technologies to drive innovation within our Workplace Technology Solutions. Our Workplace Technology practice designs and implements AV, Cyber & Physical Security Systems, Wi-Fi, Desktop, Mobility and Collaboration solutions for our enterprise customers. The role will be responsible for helping to evaluate and implement emerging end user technologies. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of office technology, end user technology and IT physical layer. This person will work alongside a team of technical subject matter experts (SMEs), providing input and know-how on both large-scale enterprise and SMB transformation programs/projects and acting as a billable resource on key engagements. The End User Technology Innovation Analyst will be a multitalented, disciplined individual with an interest in and understanding of infrastructure and workplace technologies. This is a unique opportunity for recent college graduates to work across various verticals and areas of technology to help assess what interests them most and to get broad experience early in their career. Analysts receive training while being mentored by senior IT consultants and Project Managers. You will have the opportunity to shape your career as you hone your technical, consultative and project management skills.

The ideal candidate will have a combination of technical and soft skills, including the ability to think critically and possess a strong grasp of data analysis. Qualified candidates must be detail-oriented with excellent communication and writing skills. This person must be organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • The End User Technology Innovation Analyst will be based in our New York City office; however, less than 25 percent travel should be expected

  • Responsible for researching solutions, advising clients and assisting with the technical delivery of AV, physical security systems, advanced desktop, collaboration and mobile solutions

  • Continually research, test, evaluate and be well-versed in relevant emerging technologies to help anticipate market trends, provide thought leadership and drive continuous enhancement of Align's solution offerings
  • Provide consulting and advice to clients regarding all aspects of workplace technology including:
    • Mobile Workplace
    • WiFi
    • Physical Security
    • Collaboration
    • AV
    • Workplace Modernization (Desktop and Self-Service)
  • Evaluate, implement and assist with the hands on integration of various products to offer a cohesive Modern Workplace Solution that meets the clients business needs
  • Conduct needs analysis and present findings to assist clients in revamping their workplace infrastructure to create a flexible, efficient and highly responsive workplace environment that can boost workforce productivity and collaboration
  • Help clients select and implement communications and collaboration solutions that can also integrate with key business processes
  • Work with systems, network and Audiovisual teams to delivers integrated solutions
  • Develop your consultative skills and learn to engage clients using diverse tools such as process review and design, needs and risk assessment and industry benchmarking as needed
  • Provide on-site consulting support for Align clients as directed by the assigned Solutions Director or Project Manager
  • Participate in various IT project management activities including site surveys, needs assessments, preparation of documentation, scheduling vendor installations, data analysis and coordination of various project deliverables
  • Contribute to the RFP process, project planning, current-state vs. target-state assessments and client presentations
  • Become knowledgeable of company standards and procedures

  • Bachelor's degree related to Computer Science, IT, Engineering Management, Business Analysis or Project Management
  • IT Technology Consulting, Advisory, Management Consulting or IT Project Management career trajectory
  • Passionate about technology and an interest in new and emerging technology
  • Some SOAP, REST or API experience would be a plus - to assist with integrating products within comprehensive Workplace Technology or Digital Workplace Solutions
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio
  • Some IT infrastructure (Systems, Network, Security, Storage), AV or Security product/industry knowledge
  • Internship or co-op experience related to IT infrastructure, Workplace Technology or Systems Integration is preferred
  • Must be eager to learn
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational and writing skills are required
  • Excellent analytical and facilitation skills, with proven ability to manage multiple projects, resolve and escalate issues and prioritize technical resources
  • Ability to maintain focus, shift attention quickly to respond to the unexpected while progressing on tasks/projects
