Job Description

The YWCA Brooklyn currently seeks a Full time Property Manager to oversee all operations for the organizations large multi-use facility which includes 300 units of housing, office and community space. Responsibilities include oversight of all building maintenance and repairs including mechanical, electric, plumbing, HVAC, fire and life safety systems; code compliance with requirements of city agencies and regulatory entities including adherence to all building department and fire codes; oversight of building-wide security systems and personnel; supervision of maintenance and housekeeping staff; negotiating vendor contracts; managing the facilities budget including purchasing. The successful candidate will also work closely with the YWCA Brooklyn's construction manager on capital projects.

Qualifications: Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a supervisory capacity in the area of property management; knowledge of NYC building and safety code requirements; expertise with building systems (such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, sprinkler and fire safety, generator, etc.); experience with supervision of facilities personnel; meticulous organizational skills; ability to work well with diverse populations and excellent communication skills. Experience managing capital improvement projects is a plus.
