This position will be based out of Delaware North's new global headquarters, a state-of-the-art, 12-story, mixed-use building in downtown Buffalo, N.Y. The headquarters facility, reflective of our values, integrates the latest advances in environmental, energy conservation and office design.

The Opportunity

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for providing accurate financial information, analyses and recommendations useful in subsidiary decision making. She/he works together with the Director of Finance and VP of Finance to achieve financial objectives in line with the visions and goals of the subsidiary and the organization. Furthermore, she/he will contribute to the standardizing and streamlining of processes across the division and assist with automation efforts and the corresponding change management with the field locations.

  • Consolidating weekly operating reports, reviewing commentary and distributing package to subsidiary management.
  • Performing significant data warehousing (including standardization) and excel file aggregations to improve and develop existing/new reporting.
  • Acting as a liaison for Patina Reporting in FSA to Delaware North Hyperion reporting and helping PRG prepare for eventual Hyperion conversion.
  • Preparing pro forma projections for new business opportunities; Collecting financial information to prepare forecasts from subsidiary operating personnel and corporate support groups; Modeling different scenarios and options to support management's and new business initiatives.
  • Preparing and updating financial budgets and forecasts for subsidiary functions, and consolidating plans into company financial statements; Preparing other supporting documents and analysis as needed.
  • Examining operating metrics, costs, financial results and other pertinent data and highlight variances.
  • Preparing and analyzing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports that meet the needs of operating company management and Delaware North executive management.
  • Performing financial and operational analysis with the goal of improving the efficiency of the company's operations. Preparing financial analysis and reporting for Delaware North management.
  • Collecting, maintaining, and analyzing information on industry and market trends.
  • Building, maintaining and distributing various operating tools useful in operational decision making and to track subsidiary financial trends.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required. MBA preferred. CPA a plus. Communication with various levels of leadership. Superior organizational skills. Hyperion, PeopleSoft experience; Microsoft Excel including VBA (Macro design), SmartView and pivot tables; Microsoft PowerPoint, PeopleManager, Kronos. 3-5 years of experience in Financial Reporting and Analysis, specifically with experience in forecasting and planning for foodservice industry (restaurants) 10-15% travel to locations in New York City, Orlando, Anaheim and Los Angeles.
