A Global Bank is determined to bring in senior-level SMEs within Operational Risk to strengthen its Consumer Banking function. This role will cover three unique areas: customer segments, auto, and regional banking. This role will be highly influential, as you will be responsible for developing and implementing risk programs to identify and mitigate any operational risks that arise from failed internal processes, systems or external events, while maintaining operational efficiency.

The role is responsible for:

  • Using expertise to provide independent oversight and credible challenge to senior-level management
  • Engage with senior management for strategic planning and business review
  • Challenge the front line across all operational risk routines
  • Perform risk assessment of the front line
  • Develop complex testing strategies and analysis
  • Evaluate analytics to identify the best practices to influence risk management practices
  • Analyze business/system changes to determine impact

An ideal candidate will have:

  • 8 years of experience in Operational Risk/ERM, minimum
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge across ERM or Operational Risk framework (risk identification, risk appetite, strategy, etc.)
  • Experience communicating with regulators
  • Deep understanding of corporate/business policies
