Position Summary:

This is a part time position that will provide customer service via phone, email, and live chat in our call center. The chosen candidate will provide general information about admissions, registration, academic and workforce programs, financial aid, placement testing, and other student service related questions. They will assess a caller's needs and provide relevant information and resources.

Duties also include receiving incoming phone calls to guide students and parents through the applications process, applying for financial aid, registering for classes, and answering questions related to eligibility issues.

In addition to serving students, each Student Services Assistant will assist with the processing needs of the division.

Education Requirement:

High School diploma or GED is required.

Associate Degree in Office Management, Business, Accounting, Communications or related field is preferred.

Experience/Qualifications Requirements:

Minimum of one (1) year of customer service in an office setting is required.

A minimum of one year of high volume phone work experience in an office setting is preferred.

Experience in a higher education environment desired.

Preferred Qualifications:

Exceptional customer service skills

Experience with MS Office

Ability to multi-task and must be detailed oriented

Experience in a college environment

Advanced oral communication skills

Exceptional interpersonal skills

Hours: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
