This position will provide regulatory and accreditation paralegal support to the EyeMed Vision Care business units. This paralegal is a team player that demonstrates consistent high-level performance and maintains the utmost professional demeanor and highest level of confidentiality and trust.


  • Supports the Compliance Department with research for legal, regulatory and accreditation standards and identifies applicability of those standards in terms of EyeMed's various contractual requirements or business lines. Presents research results in a clear, concise manner to inform the business units.
  • Performs both internal and external research and compiles data to prepare memoranda, correspondence or tables with condense information that enables employees to readily identify anticipated changes to current requirements. Internal research entails identifying business attributes, impacted contractual provisions, policies and practices. External research may involve legislative histories, text modifications between introduction and adoption and comparisons between federal, state and regulatory standards.
  • Uses research tools to reliably search and alert Compliance team of new laws, regulations, decisions or guidelines that may impact EyeMed business lines.
  • Maintains the Compliance Department's library of legal, regulatory and accreditation standards (original documents and summary compilations) that is indexed, dated, and cross-referenced for ease of access and for tracking of regulatory changes.
  • Accurately communicates relevant and potentially sensitive information to and from others, maintaining a high level of confidentiality and exercises good judgment.
  • Anticipates and follows-up on requests and issues with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
  • Represents EyeMed professionally and operates in a manner consistent with the Luxottica culture.


  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Paralegal Certification
  • 3+ years paralegal experience
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio, with strong emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, and ability to balance multiple tasks.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and is proactive.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.


  • Prior experience with legal research tools/software and contract management systems.
  • Advanced grammar and English skills
  • Professionally interfaces and communicates among executives and other internal and external high-level individuals
  • Experience in researching new and updated State regulations
  • Experience working in the CMS industry
  • Creates an environment that fosters teamwork and trust.
  • Proactively communicates potential issues and reminders to executives and coworkers as appropriate.
