Accountable for all aspects of the privacy program including Building and leading a privacy program that is compliant with applicable state, federal and international laws and regulations. Overseeing and executing the privacy strategy and operations. Ensure privacy risks are identified and prioritized, and effective controls are established to prevent privacy violations or unintended exposure of information. Identify and maintain an inventory of all information shared outside the organization to ensure it's used in a responsible and compliant fashion. Develop and administering privacy training curriculum. Understanding the holistic view of privacy risk across the organization. Implement recommendations from Global Audit, federal regulators, and 2nd line testing related to privacy laws impacting the company. Driving efficiency, reducing waste, ensuring role clarity, and properly documents processes. Responsible for performance management of associates including continued growth and development of those associates through transparent feedback at mid-year and year-end calibration, ongoing development plans and ongoing touch bases. Be the voice for associates and help solve for associate engagement opportunities, including the removal of potential roadblocks and the addition of resources where needed.

Remain current and anticipate changes in the privacy landscape and/or reputational risks to the company relative to business processes that implicate privacy. Ensuring privacy practices and activities are consistent across all of Alliance Data.

Periodically report on the status of the privacy program risks to the Risk Committees, Chief

Security Officer, Board of Directors, and/or other key leadership stakeholders across Alliance Data.


Undergraduate studies in business, finance, risk management or related field or equivalent work experience. Master's degree preferred. CIPP, CIPT or relevant industry privacy certifications preferred.

Work Experience

10+ years of experience in compliance/privacy role(s) which included responsibility for consulting and/or interacting with legal, compliance and functional departments and building relationships with senior leaders and executives 7+ years people management experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of privacy laws and regulations

Ability to influence change across a large organization

Ability to drive execution, achieve results and influence effectively

Analytical and problem resolution skills

Ability to collaborate with the team to establish connections across products, business units, processes, etc.

Ability to set strategic direction and deliver practical business solutions.
