Liberty Mutual IT Hosting Services is actively searching for a Senior Cybersecurity Software Developer to guide in analysis, design, coding, and testing of new software, improvements to existing products, and reporting in support of a variety of cloud based and on-prem software products and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and peers to create state of the art solutions to meet business and technical opportunities

  • Mentor and coach junior team members

  • Completes project work or other tasks as assigned

  • Assist in development of automated incident response capabilities for Liberty Mutuals Cloud Ecosystems

  • Work with Technologist and Architects to engineer and implement cloud native cybersecurity technologies

  • Utilize cloud-based APIs when appropriate to integrate tools for securing cloud environments.

  • Provides guidance and assistance to ensure IT controls are designed to mitigate intended risks and operating effectively; ensures cloud engineering best practices are followed.

  • Provides technical expertise and support to clients, IT management and staff in risk assessment and the implementation of appropriate information security procedures and products.

  • Researches and assesses new threats to cloud environments and recommends remedial action.

  • Maintains operational excellence according to specified SLAs

  • Participates in service desk and on-call rotations


Required Skills:

  • Operational support/design/configuration for multiple security services and products including Proxy, DLP, VPN, RSA, Vormetric, Cisco AMP, Tanium, FireEye, Cisco ISE, and Symantec Endpoint Protection.

  • Partner with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and peers to create state of the art solutions to meet business and technical opportunities.

  • Monitors security services to ensure health of the environment.

  • Works in conjunction with technical counterparts to remediate audit and security findings.

  • Provides technical expertise and support to clients, IT management and staff in risk assessment and the implementation of appropriate information security procedures and products.

  • Performs packet captures and analysis in support of application & user troubleshooting, and identification of access requirements.

  • Performs traffic analysis to ensure appropriate usage and load balancing of products and services. Recommends architectural improvements to accommodate changes in capacity demand and to ensure service resiliency.

  • Analyzes the security services and associated policies in place, determines effectiveness and recommends improvement.

  • Maintains operational excellence according to specified SLAs.

  • Participates in service desk and on-call rotations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master s degree in technical or business discipline or equivalent experience
  • Generally, 5+ years of professional experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; presentation skills
  • Proficient in negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills
  • Proficient in new and emerging technologies
  • Excellent trouble-shooting skills
  • Self-motivated/self-starter
