Job Summary

The Content Team Business Planner provides administrative, planning and project management support to Microsoft's Customer Experience Content Team. This is a critical role supporting, creating and executing on work needed to drive activities for the Content Team.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Act as the administrative liaison for the Content Team and Microsoft Technology Center (MTC) programs.
  • Coordinate logistics across programs and manage calendaring and scheduling requests.
  • Proactively manage requests for rooms and facility reservations, including MTC engagement requests.
  • Manage work streams across the Content and MTC programs to progress tasks forward and ensure milestones are met.
  • Plan and support team activities, including scheduling internal team meetings, taking meeting notes, capturing follow-up items, and sending out communications.
  • Become an expert with our internal reporting tools and work closely with our internal tools team. (Reporting, Topic Catalogue, Speaker Loyalty Program, etc).
  • Work with appropriate team members to resolve inquiries regarding Content, Tool Issues, or process questions.
  • Centralize suggestions and feedback captured from internal stakeholders.
  • Generate and distribute monthly metrics and reports of activities.
  • Organize key information and resources in OneNote and SharePoint.
  • Maintain all necessary role specific documentation; including but not limited to email templates and training manuals.
  • Partner with stakeholders across CET and other segments and maintain strong knowledge of the various programs ensuring cohesion, as well as, customization as needed.
  • Initiate and maintain strategic planning to keep pace with growth of industry, number of supported sites and evolving customer and stakeholder needs.
  • Nurture long term relationships among associates, clients, stakeholders, and other EBC teams fostering a strong team alliance, as well as, encourage high team morale.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Able to quickly learn new internal systems and tools.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite and current on Microsoft Industry Trends. Proficient with Teams, OneNote, Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Windows.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Customer Service and Business Administrative roles.
  • 2 years of project management experience.
  • Event planning certification; such as CMP or CSEP is a plus. Especially if no event planning experience.
  • Extremely professional and client focused. Able to interact with all levels of business clients.
  • Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects at once, including solid project-management and problem-solving skills, while following through on issues in a timely manner.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills (both verbal & written).
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, anticipatory, planning and time management skills.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure within short time constraints, and in relatively ambiguous and complex situations.
  • Successful experience working in a team environment, building effective working relationships inside and outside of the group, accommodating work styles and perspectives of diverse individuals.
  • Must be process oriented, organized and have attention to detail, yet also be flexible.
  • Comfortable communicating with a global community; ie various cultures and languages.
  • Organized and task driven. Strong documentation and communication skills.
