TJX has a growth strategy that will propel our business to $40 billion and beyond in the next several years. The Human Resources organization is a key partner to the business during this growth. We have an opportunity for a Human Resources Business Partner I to join our high-volume Distribution Center.

The Opportunity:

  • Ensures compliance with state, local and federal laws and company policies
  • Supports employee relations, advising all levels of associates on company policies, procedures, and benefit programs
  • Manages day-to-day transactional matters including recruiting, on-boarding/induction, transfers, benefits, relocations, separations and exit interviews
  • Conducts investigations, fact-findings and resolves conflicts as they arise
  • Provides coaching, facilitates discussions supporting performance management and developmental plans
  • Partners with Corporate HR Centers of Expertise (CoEs) on relevant matters, including all associate life cycle matters
  • Responds to general inquiries about HR programs and processes with judgement to escalate as appropriate
  • Oversees local community service and volunteerism programs, partners with internal and external resources
  • Manages specific projects as determined in the annual HR operational plan and participates in functional and cross-functional initiatives

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 2- 4 years of experience as a HR Generalist
  • Possible availability to work off-shift (shift flexibility )
  • Experience supporting a variety of employee relations scenarios
  • Knowledge of HR policies and processes (eg, recruiting, benefits administration, performance management)
  • Ability to engage, inspire and influence people
  • Ability to identify needs within the business that require HR support
  • Comfortable providing coaching and feedback
  • Effective team player and multi-tasker with the ability to prioritize multiple streams of work from multiple sources without sacrificing quality
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
