The FVP, BSA Director is an expansion role and will be responsible for assisting the BSA Officer with the implementation and monitoring of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance program designed to ensure that the Bank achieves optimum compliance with the laws. Specifically, the role of the CRM Director is to provide oversight of the Client Risk Management process of the BSA Office, including, but not limited to, Annual EDD reviews of existing high risk Clients, 90-day reviews of newly acquired high risk Clients, as well as, Client Acceptance and new account Approvals of higher risk prospects. Additionally, and equally important, the CRM Director will maintain oversight of the Bank's OFAC Program.

The Role

Assist BSA Officer in a Deputy BSA Officer capacity in the development and implementation of the Bank's BSA Program
Responsible for understanding and performing their duties in a manner which is consistent with the Bank Secrecy Act, (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering Act (AML) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) Regulations, including understanding any responsibilities outlined under the Bank's BSA Program, participating in any required training and promptly complying with all reporting requirements
Management oversight of the CRM and responsible for annual EDD review completions, 90-day high risk assessments, and to ensure Client risk ratings are appropriately assigned and delegated to BSA Analyst within their Client Portfolio
Supervises assigned staff within their department (both Analyst and Management level)
Maintains supervisory responsibilities for all BSA staff as it relates to mentoring and coaching
Responsible for compliance to labor laws, performance reviews, work schedules and timekeeping reporting
Assist in Management oversight of the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) and responsible for unusual and suspicious activity monitoring, disposition of case investigations, and accurate and timely SAR Filings
Ensures the Bank is in compliance with OFAC regulations. Monitors Bank's OFAC interdiction software to ensure adherence to OFAC Policy and procedures
Management oversight of the 314(a) Law Enforcement Request (LER) process and timely inquiry or response, if warranted
Assist BSA Officer in a Deputy BSA Officer capacity in maintaining Banks' BSA risk tolerance and risk appetite for BSA related risk. Review, analyze, and make risk rating decisions on Client accounts and relationships, as well as, account closure decisioning
Assist BSA Officer in a Deputy BSA Officer capacity in establishing the BSA Program Risk Assessment
Assists BSA Officer in a Deputy BSA Officer capacity in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and control mitigation processes
Assist BSA Officer in a Deputy BSA Officer capacity and participates and prepares for regulatory BSA Examinations and Internal Audits
Participate in meetings and committees to bring BSA policies, processes, and awareness to bank staff and ensure controls are in place for all new products and/or the modifications of existing products
Stay abreast of all BSA related regulations, Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM), as well as, any other significant and impactful events occurring within the BSA and financial crime landscape, including but not limited to, Regulatory Orders within the Industry or other initiatives within the financial services industry
Attends outside conference and training seminars for BSA and OFAC on an annual basis (or as needed), as well as, to maintain the ACAMS Designation through Continuing Education (CE)

Are You A Fit?

Bachelor's Degree in business administration or related field
7+ years BSA compliance in the banking industry
5+ years in a BSA related supervisory rolle
Currently Holds the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS) certification or other similar and equal financial crimes designations
Knowledge and compliance with Bank policies, procedures, and regulations that govern job responsibilities
