As a Full-stack development engineer on the Client Hub & All About Me Team, which is a core part of Hipmunk Engineering based in San Francisco, CA, your team will have responsibility for the core interface between SAP Concur's Enterprise Travel & Expense product and the innovative Hipmunk travel-booking product.

Hipmunk is used by users across companies as well as consumers to find and book flights, hotels, and cars. Your work will be at the forefront of supporting the most business-critical aspects of our product including integrations, user interfaces, data quality, and more. There are no shortages of opportunities to explore and experience a variety of challenges on this team.

You will help the team continue to take our current mobile and web technology forward using streamlined Agile processes and Build-Measure-Learn opportunities, continuous integration and delivery schemes, and we deploy high-quality code on a daily basis.

  • Design, develop, test, collaborate, documentation, debugging
  • Code reviews
  • Be a results-oriented engineer who works with empathy, and passion.
  • Focused on product delivery through Agile development methodologies.
  • Contribute to best practices and standards for development across multiple projects.
  • Enable, and empower each other to get work done.
  • Collaborate with team members and other teams to refine high-level scope, architecture, and technical strategy for product development.
  • Surface and solve challenges through continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Have built non-trivial applications
  • Familiar with the entire web stack: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, the application layer, and databases
  • Know your way around a Unix shell
  • Good taste - you don t have to be a designer, but you should take pride in your work and have a high bar
  • You re curious, humble, and able to learn
  • Exceptionally strong communication and interpersonal skills: you like and value people
  • You care deeply about producing the best, have a high sense of accountability, and love big challenges
  • Bonus Points: Experience with Python and/or JavaScript/React
