The Digital Cockpit team creates new automotive hardware platforms that enable new human interactions. Areas of focus include: SOC (System On Chip) CPUs, FPGAs, DC-DC converters, LCD Display Drivers, Camera input, Audio input and output, Wireless including interoperability, Antennas, Ethernet, and other input and output. We own the human-machine interface.


Develop state of the art infotainment products for automotive using leading edge SOCs (System On Chip).Work on all aspects of the product life cycle from concept to design to outsourced NPI (New Product Introduction) and mass production.Evaluate and select ICs and discrete components to use in designs, working with Supply Chain team.Design circuits, create schematics, and manage PCB layout. Effectively work with other members of EE team and with large cross-functional teams.Assure quality design through best design practices, followed up by testing, that products meets signal integrity, thermal, EMC, Safety, and DFM (Design For Manufacturing) requirements.


Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering or related technical fieldSeven plus years of high end Embedded CPU board design and development experience, with a variety of I/O.Demonstrated engineering discipline throughout the development life cycle (requirements discovery and specification, prototyping, vendor management, design validation, and startup of mass production).Excellent ability to debug at all levels: component, board, and system level.Experience in high speed serial design such as PCIe, Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0, DDR3 and up. Experience in I2C, SPI, and I2S as well.Experience designing audio circuits: Input, output, amplifiers, addressing issues in mixed analog/digital designs.Experience designing for signal integrity and power delivery integrity.Comfortable with lab equipment: scope, power supply, signal generator, spectrum analyzer, rework tools.Ok with 10% travel in Asia.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience developing several automotive ECUs.FPGA development experience a plus.Ability to understand and modify software and scripts a plus.Familiarity with linux OS, networking, installing software, and scripting.
