We are looking for a Supply Chain Inventory Planner. This position is Responsible for leading the demand and supply planning of a complex end to end supply chain within assigned product line. Execute supply plans in order to meet on time delivery and cash flow targets, while meeting customer requirements. Collaboration with suppliers, customers, and colleagues within supply chain, sales, marketing, and purchasing are critical to achieving these objectives.

  • Meet on time customer fill rate while maintaining inventory levels & turns. Actively manage slow moving inventory.
  • Execute order management on assigned product lines using MRP system. Work closely with suppliers to meet deliveries. Proactively resolve issues that may result in supply disruptions.
  • Follow strategy to execute optimal re-order points, lot sizes, lead times, etc. with the supply base.
  • Prepare, report, and communicate inventory metrics.
  • Identify root causes of any misses on key performance indicators
  • Facilitate process improvements: analyze data to identify trends, root causes, areas for improvement using Excel, Access, etc.
  • Work with Supply Base and Purchasing team to improve Vendor shipping performance and reliability
  • Support implementation and maintenance of the SAP system at DCs and distribution footprint change
  • Use demand planning tool to manage statistical forecast. Continuously improve forecasting techniques and methods (selecting various statistical models) to support customer demand. Adjust forecast based on changes in demand and market trends.
  • Understand key drivers of forecast accuracy for assigned product lines. Analyze root cause of any misalignment, prepare corrective action as required.
Required Experience

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.

Skills & Experience:

  • 2-5 years related experience in demand planning, production planning is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of key inventory performance metrics, turns, margin contributions; demand planning/forecasting.
  • Experience using SAP, APO, SNP or alternative ERP/MRP/DRP systems (Oracle, QAD, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications. (Vlookup, Macros, Pivot, Index, VBA), as well as solid Access skills; PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
