POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director Identity and Access Management (IAM) will be a key leader in the company's Technology organization. Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), this role will be responsible for corporate-wide entitlement, authentication, authorization, governance and identity operations. This will be a highly visibility role with responsibility over all IAM technology solutions across the company. The Director - IAM will be responsible for building and executing a transformational, modernization strategy that aligns with organizational goals and objectives. It will be critical to strategically leverage technology, process and people to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets for all user types (customer, client, contractor and associates). The ability to develop strong relationships with technology and business leaders will be crucial factor in the selection of this individual.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Responsible for overseeing day-to-day IAM operations as well as all IAM services consumed by internal associates and external customers.
  • Accountable for the management of all Full time and contracted IAM resources.
  • Assist with the overall direction and strategy of the Information Security function in collaboration with the CISO.
  • Identify, deploy and optimize modernized Identity & Access Management (IAM) technology across the organization.
  • Identify gaps and enhance process and technology to better align with industry standards and best practices.
  • Assist with determining security product and architecture to remain relevant to evolving threat landscape.
  • Technical depth and working knowledge of core IAM components, such as: Directory Services, Privileged Access Management and Identity Governance.
  • Partner with peer delivery organizations within IT to drive secure solutions that enable the business (as opposed to a roadblock).
  • Lead strategic technology planning to achieve business goals, including the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical groups.
  • Develop and deliver business cases in support of strategic direction and proposed technology/process changes or enhancements.
  • Establish and maintain a strong partnership with Information Technology peers, enterprise risk management, privacy, audit and other leaders throughout the business.
  • Lead the evaluation, deployment and management of current and future technologies including the development and implementation of capabilities that directly support a cloud migration strategy.
  • Analyze and improve upon existing security standards across the organization to remain current against the evolving threat landscape.
  • Stay abreast of technological advances and continuously research better ways to accomplish tasks and integrate new security technologies.
  • Maintain a constructive, team-oriented and customer-focused attitude at all times and in all settings.
  • Recruit and develop talent that will drive the organization to higher performance.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree with emphasis in MIS, Computer Science or other computer/business related discipline.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in information security or risk management including CISSP,CCSP, CISM, CISA or similar certifications preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across interdisciplinary teams and manage relationships across multiple areas of the business including Audit, Compliance, and other executive stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively lead change and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve tactical and strategic goals.
  • Sound judgment and ability to effectively balance information risk controls with business productivity and growth.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to diverse audiences that include senior leadership.
  • Broad knowledge of current and emerging information technology industry trends and directions including common information security management frameworks, such as NIST and ISO.
  • Progressive career track including experience as a senior level information technology or security leader in large organizations with leadership responsibility over 20+ personnel.
  • Proven track record of exceeding goals and executing against a transformational strategy.
  • Exceptional capacity for managing and leading people; a team builder who has the capacity to develop and empower team members and learn the strengths and weaknesses of the team, to put people in a position to succeed.
  • Understanding of regulatory & privacy/standards such as SOX, FINRA, SEC, NYDFS, PCI DSS.
  • POST HIRE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Successful passing of the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam within 18 months from date of hire
