Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with lottery retailers in a designated territory and maximizing sales through merchandising, training and promotional techniques specifically for the Quick Draw product. This role is responsible for executing Quick Draw strategies and tactics in support of the annual business plan. The primary focus is on training retailers and staff to sell Quick Draw, interact with customers and educate them on how to play.

  • Evaluates product presentations and makes appropriate retailer recommendations
  • Promotes products on a regular basis and trains retailer staff and consumers to maximize sales
  • Manages product levels to ensure consumer demands are met at all points of retail distribution
  • Reviews key metrics with retailer on a consistent basis
  • Communicates organizational strategies and best practices to retailers in order to maximize sales
  • Makes regular visits to retailers to ensure a consistent and professional presence at every lottery retailer
  • Makes recommendations or takes action that will result in optimizing lottery product sales
  • Delivers, installs and maintains all lottery point-of sale materials
  • Operates, and trains retailers to operate, all lottery equipment
  • Provides training to retailers on changes and/or enhancements to lottery games and promotions
  • Performs retailer terminations, change of ownerships and other related duties as assigned
  • Demonstrates the advantages of proper placement of lottery products and point of sales materials and equipment
  • Develops, implements and evaluates sales promotions with individual retail outlets. Motivates retailers to participate in and support promotions
  • Routinely conducts promotions at venues for selling events to engage players
  • Formulates a quarterly business plan for assigned territory


Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or sales/marketing or related field

Years of Experience:

  • Minimum of three years of related sales experience, retail or wholesale
  • Previous beer and wine industry experience a plus


  • Must be able to speak clearly and persuasively with strong interpersonal skills
  • Expresses self well in group or in one-to-one conversations
  • Must be able to produce written materials that are clear, concise and easily understood
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • General understanding of lottery transactions and how the lottery operates
  • Ability to synthesize, frame and position sales and marketing concepts in a compelling, persuasive manner in order to effectively convey product benefits, key features and differentiation
  • Specific to recruitment role: Sales closing skills, must be able to “cold call” on businesses and ultimately sign new retailers


  • Travel with in assigned territory nearly100% of time worked
  • Possess a valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Ability to work non-traditional work schedule including evenings and weekends and comfortable in social gathering venues such as bars and restaurants
