Operates radiologic equipment to obtain diagnostic radiographs. Ensures that all aspects of patient records are processed properly to initiate procedure results in a timely manner. Performs other assigned duties as training and skills allow.1.Education and Training
*Graduate of an A.MA approved school of Radiologic Technology, registered or registry eligibility with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
*Must be licensed as a Radiographer by the State of Ohio.
*BLS required.

One (1) to three (3) years experience preferred. For PRN positions, at least one year current experience preferred.

3.Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications
*Ability to appropriately communicate with patients, physicians and hospital employees.
*Ability to calibrate and operate equipment, properly position patients and to apply and adjust restraining devices.
*Ability to lift and position patients.
*Successful completion of training to perform other radiology procedures (eg, select C.T. procedures, etc.).
*Ability to utilize computer system and file system to facilitate patient records management as directed by Coordinator, Supervisor and/or Manager.

4.Physical Requirements
*Requires full range of body motion which may include handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination
*Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time
*Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range
*May require exposure to communicable disease, body fluids, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and other potentially hazardous conditions common to a clinical environment, such as risk of falls, strains, etc.

5.Population Specific Competency
The incumbent will have the ability to effectively interact with populations of the patient (and his or her representative) with a sensitivity to the communication needs (other language, deaf or blind) and with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
