We are looking for a Materials Buyer. This position will be responsible for managing all activities related to purchasing raw materials and day-to-day production planning for original equipment (OE) demand manufactured in the Unit Mold and Positive Mold value streams.

This Materials Buyer will be a valued member of the Operations department where we strive to promote from within wherever possible; therefore, opportunities for advancement are strong.

You'll first hear from someone in Talent Acquisition to schedule a phone screen, and then the next step will be a personal interview with our Hiring Manager.   • Coordinate with Value Stream leaders to ensure the supply of raw component inventory levels to meet daily, weekly, and monthly value stream targets.
  • Maintain purchasing plan for back plates, shims, and hardware from approved suppliers based on the forecast and current inventory targets to meet ship dates for Original Equipment customers.
  • Obtain production schedule from SAP system and coordinate any exceptions with Customer Service and Value Stream members.
  • Understand Unit Mold and Positive mold production flow and standard Work in Process (WIP) as well as known constraints to the production flow.
  • Adjust schedules as needed to ensure parts are being manufactured per customer and inventory demand.
  • Reduce costs through the preparation of bids and subsequent analysis. Use independent judgment to determine the best supplier(s) to be evaluated.
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Experience

EDUCATION: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, or similar preferred; APICS certification a plus


  • 3-5 years of experience working in a manufacturing support role
  • Purchasing and planning experience preferred.
  • Previous experience using ERP systems required. Experience with SAP strongly desired.
  • Excellent interpersonal organizational and team-building skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
