What You Will Be Doing
This role will be responsible for performing hands-on end-to-end digital electronic prototyping including design, assembly, integration, and test, particularly in the area of implementation of microcontrollers and FPGAs. The tasks will also include system architecture development, simulation, and troubleshooting in accordance with project team objectives, requirements, and schedules.
Sr/Mid level engineers should be capable of digital hardware R&D and rapid prototyping should be experienced with Embedded processor solutions to perform component and development board selection, IP core selection and implementation, testing, validation, and troubleshooting. He/she should be familiar with programming in C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, and LabView and translating existing algorithms to native VHDL/Verilog a plus, FPGA tools (eg, Xilinx ISE, Altium Quartus), ECAD tools for schematics and PCB layout (eg, EAGLE, Altium Designer, OrCAD). Specific emphasis on video streaming and interface standards, imaging sensor interfaces and processing, and control systems. Candidates with experiences in system engineering, avionics, optics, and/or industrial design are encouraged to apply.
  • Lead rapid prototyping including architecture design, development, and implementation of Microcontroller and FPGA hardware and firmware solutions, including design, implementation, integration, and test of components, subsystems, and systems.
  • Execute technical tasks of simulation, selection, modification, integration, and test of components.
  • Interact with internal technical supporting team, technology vendors, and service providers in selecting, evaluating, and/or fabricating system components.
  • Provide technical write-ups and documentations.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
What You Need for this Position
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Must be able to design, simulate and prototype high-speed wireless communication systems
  • Must be able to successfully lead and contribute to multiple programs simultaneously, achieving required results on time and on budget
  • Must be able to prepare winning proposals with accurate costing and planning data
  • Ability to present technical concepts and designs to Senior Management and customers.

  • Must have excellent technical writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
