The Director of Corporate Marketing plans, organizes, directs, and provides the leadership to achieve the short and long-range business brand and marketing objectives for the Consumer Services division within the organization, select market-driven initiatives and support team functions. This individual directs and manages a team of senior and middle-level marketing professionals dedicated to developing and implementing strategic marketing programs which align with the division(s) annual business objectives, growth targets and revenue/profit objectives. In addition, this individual manages key line of business relationships, programs/projects, advances the digital marketing road map for the division, oversees integrated marketing budgets, including production, design, and project costs.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Define and oversee the annual marketing objectives and strategy for the division based on the organizations key goals and objectives. Work directly with the assigned division's leadership team. Understand the division's strategic plans and objectives and work to insure marketing's time is spent in support of said objectives. Regularly attending status and planning meetings.
  2. Direct staff of senior professionals, including Sr. Marketing Managers and Marketing Managers. Determine work priorities, interview candidates and recommend additions to staff. Communicate directives from upper management to staff and translates into action items. Ensures compliance to all regulations, policies and procedures.
  3. Direct and review the work of all strategic, digital and creative teams and outside vendors to ensure brand consistency standards, brand direction and legal/compliance standards are followed.
  4. Manage, develop and execute for broadcast, print and digital. May negotiate external partnership, sponsorship or event opportunities. May conduct market research, focus groups, special events, seminars for assigned area. Partners with creative teams, other internal stakeholders, external agencies and vendors.
  5. Manage Internet and Intranet changes for assigned areas for assigned business line or support function.
  6. Manage and direct relationships with advertising agency and other suppliers to ensure cost effectiveness.
  7. Identify, develop, and implement revisions of internal standards, policies, operating procedures, and new programs to improve efficiency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Outstanding strategic thinking skills with preferable background in a digital-driven financial services or retail space
  • Outstanding organizational and project coordination skills in order to perform numerous simultaneous projects involving a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints
  • Comprehensive knowledge of advanced marketing principles and practices
  • Evaluate the impact of marketing programs in achieving their stated objectives, including impact on lead flow, LTV and retention
  • Understanding client research and developing and connecting Omni-channel experiences and journeys
  • Building brand awareness and positioning
  • Supporting sales and lead generation efforts
  • Knowledge of banking products and services
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles for budget management

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business Administration and 11 - 15 years marketing experience or 15+ years equivalent work experience in marketing and/or advertising. MBA preferred, but not required. This individual will manage a team which may consist of any combination of Marketing Specialist, Marketing Manager, and Senior Marketing Manager.
