Leveraging a worldwide manufacturing footprint with leading edge domestic fabs, our Aerospace and Defense (A&D) business line supports a broad range of applications with high quality, security, and integrity needs. We are seeking a Director to join our A&D team, led out of Fab 9 in Vermont or other locations, to apply deep knowledge of A&D specific microelectronics systems engineering requirements to GLOBALFOUNDRIES solutions. This role requires a detailed understanding of both microelectronics technology and A&D specific requirements in such, to engage with clients and drive best-in-class technology solutions to meet their needs. Success will be measured against specific targets in design wins and business unit metrics.

Essential Responsibilities

Develop a strong understanding of A&D market dynamics, government strategies, and requirements for microelectronics.
Identify GLOBALFOUNDRIES' solutions, including technology platform, differentiating feature(s), and design IP, that best serves client needs.
Define the market requirements for A&D specific technology features and design IP to be developed in accordance with market needs.
Create and deploy compelling presentation collateral to articulate the value of Globalfoundries' solutions to A&D clients, to drive adoption.
Develop strategic relationships with clients and partners to achieve success across a 5+ year horizon.
Serve as a champion of GLOBALFOUNDRIES technology solutions with strong external presence at technology conferences, trade shows, webinars, etc.
Identify and address issues head-on using data to drive solutions.
Support business unit functions and continuously drive learning and improvements
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications
Education Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent
Experience 10 or more years of experience in electronics system and microelectronics, with 7 or more years of experience in the A&D sector, knowledgeable of government acquisition and contracting processes
Travel Requirements 25%-50% of travel
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a SECRET level U.S. Government security clearance and cannot possess dual citizenship.
Language Fluency English (Written & Verbal)
