Job Description:

Technology ServiceCorporation (TSC) has an immediate Radar Engineering position to perform radarperformance analysis and ballistic missile scenario testing and data analysisfor the AEGIS SPY radar. The candidate mustpossess knowledge and demonstrated experience with radar fundamentals,especially as it relates to the AN/SPY1 radar and experience using an existingMATLAB tool to compare provided truth data for ballistic missile threats to SPYtactical track data. Discrepancies willbe reported to the accrediting agents (MDA and NSWCDD). There will be occasional travel toMoorestown, NJ and Wallops Island, VA (10% - 15% or less). Additionally, knowledge of advanced radarssuch as Air & Missile Defense Radar (AMDR) and Dual Band Radar are desired,but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform design, development, performance analysis tasks related to SPY-1 Radar and associated Fidelity Improvements.
  • Perform ballistic missile scenario testing and data analysis to the AEGIS SPY radar.
  • Use MATLAB tool to compare provided truth data for performance analysis and ballistic missile threats to SPY tactical track data resulting from the Radar Control Computer Program (RCCP).
  • Provide engineering support and participate in radar and analysis design, and design reviews.
  • Assist in generation of specifications and engineering data.
  • Perform other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Education/Professional Certifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree from ana school of engineering with at least one curriculum accredited by theAccreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as a professionalengineering curriculum in one of the following fields: Mechanical Engineering,Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, Electronics Engineering; or

  • A Bachelor's degree from anaccredited college or university in one of the following fields of study:Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics; or

  • A Master's degree from anaccredited college or university in one of the following fields of study:Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, ElectronicsEngineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics; or

  • A Ph.D degree from anaccredited college or university in one of the following fields of study:Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineer, ElectronicsEngineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics.

    General Experience:

  • Minimum fifteen years ifCandidate has a Bachelor's degree; or

  • Minimum twelve years ifCandidate has a Master's degree; or

  • Minimum eight years ifCandidate has a Ph.D degree.

    Specialized Experience:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in complex radar systemengineering, design, analysis, or radar software development; Solid technicalbackground as demonstrated by certifiable experience formulating opinions,decisions and ultimate performance of the tasks specified in a contractstatement of work; Demonstrated experience and ability to perform detailed andcomplex calculations and knowledge of practices/principles necessary to assessadvanced radar systems concepts, assess specifications and perform systemintegration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Training, skill andexperience necessary to conduct detailed, complex system engineering activitiesassociated with Enterprise level M&S solutions.

  • This includes functional andsystem level requirements analysis, requirements documentation and distribution,market/trade studies and analysis, and establishing acceptance criteria for Modelingand Simulation (M&S) solutions.
