Responsibilities

Senior (Sr.) Financial & Business Management Analyst are second level non-management consultants that will have responsibility for client management, solution implementation and generation of project results. Sr. Financial & Business Management Analyst will own project workstreams and interact with the client daily to ensure engagement success. This includes supporting day-to-day operational meetings with client sponsors and consulting leaders. Sr. Financial & Business Management Analyst are expected to prepare and communicate well-organized, effective reports and presentations to client and internal executives. Sr. Financial & Business Management Analyst will lead, coach and mentor consultants and ensure quality deliverables.

Key responsibilities are to provide the following services in support of Federal clients with science and infrastructure mandates:

  • Plan for and lead information gathering sessions and document stakeholder input
  • Facilitate client meetings to gather data and understand client needs and desired outcomes
  • Support qualitative and quantitative analysis to enable decision making (eg, needs analysis, cost/benefit analysis)
  • Support financial, data, and business management analyses
  • Identify and suggest process improvement opportunities
  • Develop work products that clearly synthesize information into recommendations for clients
  • Prepare training materials and facilitate knowledge transfer to client stakeholders
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and quality assurance to junior staff

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with a major in any field that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following fields: Accounting, Business, Finance, Law, Contracts, Purchasing, Economics, Industrial Management, Marketing, Quantitative Methods, or Organization & Management
  • 3+ years of experience, preferably within the public sector
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Meet qualifications and successfully be granted a Public Trust
  • Currently reside or able to relocate to the Washington, DC area is required

Preferred Qualifications

Above minimum qualifications and the following:

  • Experience in Federal consulting

  • Experience using R, Python, Tableau, and/or robotic process automation (RPA) tools

  • Knowledge of Federal financial management regulations, such as the Treasury Financial Manual, Federal Financial Management Improvement Act (FFMIA), and OMB Circular A-123

  • Knowledge of Federal budget process
