My client is a $20 million health focused global nonprofit based in downtown DC. They are looking to hire a new CFO support the CEO and board covering the following: -

- Act as the senior adviser and thought partner within the Executive Team on financial processes, forecasting, management, compliance and reporting.

- Develop and execute a strategic plan for the finance and accounting function.

- Lead the long/short term financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and investment management.

- Ensure that all finance and accounting operations are completed according to GAAP.

- Produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for the executive team and board.

- Lead the annual audit and 990 tax process.

- Manage and builds unrestricted cash reserves for strategic flexibility.

- Develop reports and present on key financial metrics to assess the overall health of the organization.

- Maintain the organization's primary forecasting and budget development tools.

- Works closely with Development (fundraising) team to build revenue forecasts.

- Provide direct support to Development (fundraising) team on proposal budgets, foundation financial reporting, charitable revenue reconciliation and strategic guidance.

- Remain up to date on nonprofit accounting and audit best practices.

- Prepare and present all analysis and reports as needed to support Board and Committee Meetings.

Requirements
To be considered for this high-profile nonprofit CFO opportunity, you should ideally possess a BS degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or MBA, minimum 10+ years relevant industry experience, knowledge of Intacct, grants and board presentations.
