Perspecta is an AA/EEO Employer - Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled and other protected categories Responsibilities We are currently searching for a skilled system engineer to join our core engineering team in support of the DOJ USAVoice Service and Support Contract. The Systems Engineer will perform various tasks in support of the USAVoice system operating on a BroadSoft platform. Responsibilities will include research and development tasks to facilitate development and enhancement of the system. Designing, configuring, testing, implementing and maintaining telecommunication capabilities including WAN and LAN. Evaluation of network changes for operational impact. Perform operations and maintenance support activities as needed. This individual will work under the direction of the VoIP Engineering Subject Matter Expert to perform tasks as assigned. In-depth Linux experience is required. The select candidate will provide support for issues that may include the following devices, applications and/or processes:. BroadWorks R21 configuration and support. Red Hat Linux and Windows 2008 administration. Zervina CPE Manager/ION server configuration and support. Loki System Manager portal configuration and support. Voice Messaging configuration and support. AudioCodes TDM/IP gateway configuration and support. LAN/WAN QoS support. Session Border Controller configuration and support. Installation engineering and support. System backups and maintenance. Monthly application patching and maintenance release implementation. User Support (back-up as needed). BroadWorks Call Center site and district level support. AudioCodes edge device configuration and support. Edgewater edge device configuration and support. Polycom edge device configuration and support Qualifications This is a senior level position. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who demonstrates initiative and team work. As part of the selection process, the candidate must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills and possess a willingness to learn and become proficient with the BroadSoft BroadWorks platform. The selected VoIP Engineer will have a BS in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or over 10 years applied experience. Requires 8 to 10 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years with MS/MA or 3 to 5 years with PhD. US Citizenship required; Candidate must be able to pass thorough background investigation, including a detailed credit check. Options
