Plus competitive pay, an outstanding benefits package, a convenient DC location, a professional collegial work environment and an opportunity to work on issues of national significance equals a winning combination!ABA is seeking a Vice President, Training Design and Development who will be responsible for managing the design, development and ongoing maintenance of ABA training products which include online learning, webinars, videos, instructor-led materials, training references and textbooks. This position collaborates with the SVP in annual product planning and budgeting to achieve the training team's targeted business goals. The incumbent manages the instructional design and training project manager teams, both internal and external, to ensure the timely achievement of development priorities, and is responsible for the documentation, maintenance and adherence to ABA content quality standards. This position is also responsible for building and maintaining contacts and working relationships with internal and external subject-matter experts, working in collaboration with event program managers and ABA Market Managers. The incumbent jointly manages (with the VP, E-Learning Technology) ABA's course publishing management processes and tools (based on SharePoint) to ensure timely QA, review, publishing and archiving of all online products for delivery on the ABA Learning Management system.Key Responsibilities: + Directs the activities of the internal and external instructional design and production team(s), ensuring that the team delivers the final product on time and that those products meet departmental goals. + Provides expertise, coaching and guidance in instructional design, content development and production processes and ensures that those skills and abilities are developed in the training product development teams.+ Manage the overall production schedule for all training products.+ Develop online training production plans, schedules and budgets, ensuring that training products and materials, including those in the ABA Frontline Compliance program, are regularly reviewed and updated to keep pace with changing banking regulations and processes, and to meet market expectations.+ Source, develop, contract, manage, and guide the internal and external teams responsible for instructional design, production and development of ABA training products to effectively meet changing market product requirements and annual training revenue targets.+ Manage relationships with internal and external subject-matter experts, and assign content authoring or reviews as required, to ensure the content integrity of our training product and custom training programs.+ Manage quality control through application of established standard review cycles, to ensure content quality, instructional integrity, and adherence to ABA graphic and instructional standards.+ Develop and maintain ABA Instructional Design standards for all online product formats, including new mobile and multi-media products, and communicates those standards to the production teams.+ With the SVP, Training & Development, develop and manage the annual budget, and monitor expenses to ensure the control of costs. Research and resolve any budget discrepancies.Required Skills:A minimum 9-11 years of experience in instructional program design and development. + 4-year degree.+ Proven track record of managing large-scale instructional program design and development, preferably in a content vendor organization.+ Deep expertise in online instructional design and development processes as well as familiarity with the technical requirements for online learning.+ Demonstrated success in effective team management, coaching, and cross-team collaboration.Preferred Experience:+ Education and Training - Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, online learning, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
