Job Summary Description:

Performs concrete, soils, asphalt, and materials testing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Collects data and soil samples to determine type, classification, characteristics, and stability of soil.
  • Performs laboratory tests on concrete materials and prepares material testing reports.
  • Calculates dimensions, profile specifications, and quantities of materials such concrete, soils, and asphalt.
  • Prepares reports detailing tests conducted and results.
  • Maintains safe work conditions
  • Accurately collects and records other data as required.

Certificates, and Licenses:

ACI Level 1 and nuclear gauge certifications highly desirable.

Current valid state driver's license.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
