Summary: Will provide engineering expertise to the Project Engineers and Design Engineers, and will make sure that the project is technically sound, on schedule, and within cost.

Responsibilities/Duties:

1. Develop and implement design standards

2. Assist in development of process equipment specifications and line layouts

3. Attend client meetings and presentations as required by Project Management

4. Evaluating equipment requirements and procurement

5. Develop engineering data and electrical schematics for control panel designs

6. Maintaining project plans and schedules

7. Processing studies

8. Coordinating project teams

9. Establishing resource schedules and assigning work

10. Installation & start-up support

11. Direct the work of construction crews and service technicians

12. Work with partnered/contracted engineers to establish sequence of operation and control system architecture

13. Develop and implement an acceptance test plan for the equipment at vendor's facility and for the installed system at customer's facility

14. Provide technical guidance during controls systems installation and participate in start-up and commissioning of control systems

15. Ensure all drawings are updated at completion of project

16. Develop personal technical skills as well as those of co-workers

Education/Experience: Degreed Engineer with 6-10 years of experience in controls automation systems and/or automated manufacturing systems is required. Experience in developing control system architecture including communication networks is required. Post graduate training is desirable but not required.

Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications Etc..:

1. Professional engineer registration is desirable but not required

2. Must have computer aided design (CAD) skills

3. Ability to lead teams

4. Ability to develop simple control sketches and drawings and provide instructions to define design requirements

5. Adequate computer skills to program and troubleshoot industrial control systems

6. Familiar with electrical tools and mechanical instruments used for controls

7. Basic understanding of hydraulics and fluid flow in relation to the functional operation of the control system

8. Ability to work independently

9. Ability to adjust to changing timelines and meet deadlines

10. Excellent time management skills

11. Ability to understand and execute the company vision and values of Team, Excellence, Service and Trust

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights
