A leading provider of IT services and solutions are currently looking for a Desktop/Server Support Engineer to join their expanding team at their prestigious offices in Banbury.

We are recruiting for an experienced IT technician be responsible for providing technical and operational IT support and solutions to the business and wider Group functions. In this varied role you'll be responsible for the support of all the environmental aspects of the Banbury datacentre and also monitoring/maintenance of the systems and services running within them to ensure SLAs are met and governance controls are in place as per standards.

You'll be responsible for the development and support of our Monitoring platforms, Event Management and Business Dashboard Systems infrastructure. Providing monitoring and alerting solutions for all applications, user experience and infrastructure components. In this high-profile team with visibility at CIO level, you'll also be involved in the strategy and direction of Service Delivery, including supporting your Line Manager in the design and delivery of new projects and initiatives.

In terms of your background, we'll be looking for at least 3-5 years' experience with Microsoft Server technology, delivering IT infrastructure solutions and technologies, including knowledge of the technical and operational processes used to deploy, support and maintain the technical infrastructure and/or business application services. Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016 Microsoft System Center 2012 VMware vSphere and associated virtualisation solutions.

With highly developed interpersonal skills, you'll have the ability to engage with customers and ensure that you provide a consistently positive customer experience. In addition, you'll have the ability to work effectively as part of a team and will be an enthusiastic and supportive colleague in an often-pressurised environment.
