The Role?

You will be responsible for providing high quality, efficient and effective technical systems support to all workers within the Rullion Group of companies, under the management and supervision of the Service Desk Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining the integrity, availability and reliability of all Rullion's systems.
  • Regularly review all requests and issues logged on the Service Desk system, with a view to providing an efficient and effective resolution to each, according to priority.
  • Respond to telephone requests for support from users unable to log requests using the Service Desk system's self-service facilities, eg due to network or PC problems.
  • Read and practise all relevant Service Desk procedures and standards, as published by the Service Desk Manager to ensure a consistent service is provided.
  • Ensure that best practice standards are observed.
  • Undertake site visits as and when required.
  • Be prepared to work out of hours on occasion, as necessary

What will you need?

  • A minimum of 1 years 2nd Line IT Support experience, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and confident approach to remote and phone support
  • Great communication and customer service skills
  • Understanding of wired and wireless networking including hardware and configuration
  • Excellent Windows 7 & 10 OS and Microsoft Office suite knowledge
  • Knowledge of administering Windows Server
  • Experience of user setups including Active Directory & Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience of setup of and troubleshooting user issues with desktops/laptops/Thin Client hardware
  • A confident and friendly personality with a keen and professional approach to work
  • Enthusiasm for learning and improving their skills and knowledge
  • Excellent organisational skills, be able to prioritise, finish what you start, manage time, document key actions and follow up
  • Passion and excitement regarding work with a self-motivated, can-do attitude and the willingness to go the distance to get something done

  • Powershell Exposure
  • Experience with Sharepoint
  • DR (Disaster Recovery)
  • CRM (Salesforce, Jira, Zendesk, Frechdesk, Response 1)
  • Cloud Experience (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
  • Video Conferencing Exposure (Skype, Zoom, Hipchat, Cisco Webex, GoToMeeting
