Service Desk Technician (Apple) (Permanent)

Location: Basingstoke Country: UK Rate: £20-24k
 

Service Desk Technician (Apple) required by my client based near Basingstoke for a permanent role paying £20-24k

You will be part of a team supporting external clients on mainly Apple products (training can be provided) but you need to have an interest in Apple.

The working hours are 40 hours per week, 09:00-18:00 Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays.

As a 1st Line Service Desk Technician you will be responsible for delivering exceptional telephone and remote control support to external customers, who operate Mac and PC systems in a creative business environment, ensuring that SLA's are adhered to.

The telephone and remote control support that you provide will cover basic hardware, software and network problem resolutions to customer problems. You will also perform remote administration and configuration, such as new user provisioning and Workstation setups and also will be required to guide users through step-by-step solutions in a desktop support based environment.

This provides an excellent opportunity for a strong communicator and customer focused individual who has experience working in a Service Desk environment in a similar position, who is motivated and seeking career progression in the IT industry.

Experience

This provides an excellent opportunity for a strong customer focused individual who has a minimum of 18 months experience working in a similar position and providing support to SME's, who is motivated and seeking career progression and development in the IT industry.

Ideal Technical Skill-sets

Mac

? Excellent knowledge of operating and configuring OS X

? Troubleshooting experience hardware/software

? Knowledge of common creative applications, particularly Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud;

? Experience upgrading hardware

Windows Desktop

? Knowledge of operating and configuring Microsoft Windows advantageous

? Troubleshooting experience hardware/software

? Knowledge of Microsoft Office & Outlook

? Experience upgrading hardware

Office 365

? Creation of new users

? Configuration of Microsoft Outlook

Networking

? Basic understanding of Firewalls, Network Switches & Proxies desirable

? Experience of basic troubleshooting advantageous
