Your role as Resource Planning & Demand Manager will be to lead and develop the plans for future project demand placed on the Co-operative Bank's IT department, leading the delivery of IT's single view of demand through the demand plan and governing the engagement of IT resources.

Key responsibilities:

  • Leading the production of an aggregate resource demand view incorporating all projects and BAU demand for IT and Change resource which is communicated to relevant stakeholders.
  • Leading the delivery of IT's single view of demand through the demand plan, in line with project portfolio prioritisation.
  • Leading the establishment of a full understanding of both current and future business needs and customer requirements managing the demand pipeline and governing the engagement of IT resources on projects.
  • Ensuring sourcing and supply decision making processes are managed effectively.
  • Governing resource demand plan management with external suppliers to ensure that contractual commitments are managed effectively

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:

  • Experience of demand planning and resource management activities
  • An understanding of IT & Change Delivery practices
  • Knowledge of business and strategic issues and how these translate into IT issues
  • Good people and team management skills, ability to build, lead and develop high performing teams
  • Understanding of Capacity Planning and Attrition Planning.
  • Commercial acumen and business focus
  • Strong negotiation & influencing skills
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Strong problem solving capabilities
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Cost re-charge knowledge would be beneficial but not essential
