IT Field Engineer

• IT Field Engineer
• M4 Corridor (90% out on the road client sites between Bristol and Reading)
• £25,000 per year
• Plus Company Vehicle + Bonuses
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, Pension, Life Insurance etc.

Skills and Experience:

• Deploy and install IT equipment, including Switches, access points, TVs, and computer equipment, at customer sites.
• Attend customer sites to complete PPM activity (equipment checklists & cleaning)
• Maintain stock inventory at your location - collect and return items to a designated location
• Provide accurate weekly time and expense sheets.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports for each job attended.
• Liaise with the service desk and projects team to confirm work orders and resolve issues at customer sites.
• Demonstrate an understanding of Trust Systems ISO Certifications and the obligations within this role.

• Previous experience in shop fitting, IT installation or data cabling would be advantageous but not essential - full training will be provided.
• Existing IPAF, CSCS, ECS cards would be advantageous but not essential.
• Physically fit and able to perform tasks that involve extensive manual handling, use of ladders, and power tools.
• Hold a full UK driving license, as extensive travel throughout the UK and occasionally overseas is required

The Opportunity:

My client are currently seeking an IT Field Service Engineer to join their dynamic team - although this is a technology focused role, it would suit someone who has done previous shop fit-outs, office installations, etc. as there will be some manual labour involved on some projects.

In this role, you will be responsible for travelling along the M4 Corridor to install enclosures and networking/Wi-Fi equipment for their clients and there will be opportunities to carry-out IT equipment replacements, decommissioning of set-ups and deploying equipment to meet customer requirements on a per project basis.

NB: This role is physically demanding and will involve significant time spent away from home due to travel requirements.
