Cyber Security Analyst - (Outside of IR35) (Contract)
Location: Remote Country: UK Rate: £500 - £600 (Outside Of IR35)
Our client are a top tier consutling firm looking for Cyber Security Consultants with Active Security Clearance on a 6 months contract.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance and consultancy services to clients on cyber security best practices, risk management, and compliance requirements.
- Assess and analyze client network architectures, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending security enhancements to mitigate risks.
- Design and develop comprehensive cyber security strategies and roadmaps, aligning with industry standards and frameworks such as TOGAF and SABSA.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and business stakeholders, to develop and implement security solutions tailored to client needs.
- Conduct security assessments and audits to evaluate the effectiveness of existing security controls and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Implement and configure security technologies and tools, including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint security solutions, to protect against cyber threats.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill development.
- Stay abreast of emerging cyber security threats, trends, and technologies, and provide proactive recommendations to clients.
- Participate in project planning and execution activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. (Preferred)
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CCNA Security, or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Cyber Security Consultant, with a minimum of [X years] in designing and implementing security solutions.
- Strong knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and technologies, including VPN, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
- Proficiency in industry-standard frameworks such as TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework), SABSA (Sherwood Applied Business Security Architecture), and APMP (Association for Project Management Professional).
- Experience conducting security assessments, risk assessments, and compliance audits.
- Hands-on experience with security technologies and tools, such as Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint security solutions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
