Senior DBA (Remote) (Permanent)
Location: City of London Country: UK Rate: £60k - £80k per annum
 

Senior DBA (Remote) - Tech for Good - MySQL, Aurora, AWS, Terraform

We're currently working with an industry leading Tech for Good company who are ramping up their Platform at a speed of knots to scale in line with their continued growth worldwide.

Their current focus from a hiring perspective is sourcing a strong, established, Senior DBA to help them on their journey to improve performance and optimisation across their Platform Team. The incoming DBA will be the primary engineer from a Database perspective, so will have complete autonomy in the role to shape and scale their processes.

This position is an ideal opportunity for a Senior profile looking to build in their career, or a Mid-Level looking to step up, and progress in a fast paced, established, and friendly environment.

To be considered, the following experience is required:

  • At least 5 years' experience as a DBA
  • Strong hands-on experience with MySQL
  • Capable working in broader Cloud driven environments (particularly AWS)
  • Able to spec, size, deploy and test clusters of MySQL or Aurora Databases
  • Knowledge on Observability tools and practices (eg. Datadog) is a big bonus
  • The incoming engineer should also be Senior, able to develop and implement scalable database solutions

This position is able to offer £60-80K on the base salary, alongside benefits, and a remote working model (for UK based candidates).
