Technical Data Analyst - VBA/Python - Investment Banking (Permanent)

Location: City of London Country: UK Rate: £65k - £70k per annum + Bonus + Pension + Benefits

Technical Data Analyst - VBA/Python - Investment Banking

Our client, a multinational Investment Bank, are looking to enhance their corporate finance function by utilising modern engineering and automation practices.

To do this, they are hiring a Technical Data Analyst to work closely with Treasury, Product Control and Regulatory stakeholders to gather requirements, analyse processes and build automation tooling.

The bulk of your work would be as a part of a large-scale project to decommission Legacy data systems, helping the bank to utilise more modern ways of working.

This is an opportunity to broaden your business knowledge by working with many functions across the bank, as well as an opportunity to spearhead change within the organisation.

They are looking for someone with:

  • Experience in both VBA and Python programming.
  • A forward thinking, modernisation mindset.
  • A background in working with ETL tooling.
  • Experience building VBA functions, not just V-Lookups.

It'd be beneficial, but not essential if:

  • You come from a Financial Services or Accountancy Background.
  • You have experience in the Data Analytics field.
  • You have worked with visualization tooling like PowerBI.
  • You have experience with insights tooling like Dataiku or Alteryx.
