Data Architect - DWH, ELT etc (Permanent)

Location: Bristol  Country: UK Rate: c£80k + c20% bonus, 15% Pension, 28 days hols, flexi/home working etc

Experienced Data Architect or Data Warehouse Technical Lead, is sought for this dynamic, finance org with a £4m+ turnover, over 700k external customers & c1400 staff; who, are continually investing in their IT services including leading edge, data warehouse solutions using the latest technologies.

The Data Architect will be key part of the wider architecture and data teams as well as being focused to the product team who, are delivering a powerful, mission critical ecosystem of Data and BI systems for analytics and decision making.

Primarily utilising Data Warehouse/Mart, Data Lake, Self Service BI Tools and Data Science/ML platform using Oracle, Snowflake and AWS tech stack.

The team are also excited about the possibilities of AI/ML and real use cases are starting to appear.

My client is seeking a candidate who, is passionate about data systems & their benefits to a business; they will probably have a background in data warehouse development and have either already progressed in to a Data Architect role or be keen to do so.

The Data Architect will utilise their strong understanding of ELT development, Data Lake & BI design to work closely with the development team, deep-diving' in to technical issues if required.

Proven experience in architecture using Data ingestions, DWH & Data Lake modelling is essential.

An understanding of Cloud services (ideally AWS) is required and more in-depth skills in AWS, Python &/or Snowflake are desirable.

Salary c£80,000 depending on experience plus benefits including realistic 20% bonus, 15% non-contributory pension, 28 days holiday, healthcare, home working (usually 2 days a week), great training & career progression etc

Flexible working hours (35hrs a week), Monday to Friday.

The team are predominantly based from smart, modern offices in based in North Bristol (BS16); plus some home working (2 days a week).
