Software Asset Manager (SAM)

Location: Fully remote

Rate: £500 - £550 per day

IR35: In Scope

Duration: 6 months

The role is responsible for:

• Subject matter expertise (SME) in the software management, leading pro-active reviews of Software usage, remediating any issues identified regarding compliance with licence entitlements.
• The annual renewal of ~120 software contracts (value ~£40m p/a), ensuring the right licens is renewed to avoid introducing non-compliance and reputational risk to the estate.
• Managing all external software audits that have been invoked by the vendor - there are currently three in progress.
  This work includes agreeing the scope of the audit with the vendors, gathering the requested information from across the relevant systems, and managing the interaction with the vendor auditors.
• The analysis and fulfilment of software requests from client's organisation parts, assigning relevant licences and managing the purchase of new licences where required.
• Engaging with projects to agree the necessary software related activities and ensure that new software that is required is provided/purchased efficiently to support development and migration.
• Assessing required changes to the current SACM asset delivery management as a result of Fit for Future project deliverables and progressing any internal changes required.
