Job Summary
Responsible for assessing industrial machinery to ensure it meets machine safety standards and regulations. Identifies hazards, evaluates risks, and recommends safety improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform machine risk assessments
- Identify mechanical, electrical, and control system hazards
- Check compliance with machine safety standards and regulations
- Recommend safeguarding and risk reduction measures
- Prepare clear safety reports and documentation
- Support engineers, operators, and audits
Requirements
- Engineering or technical background
- Experience with industrial machinery and safety systems
- Knowledge of machine safety standards (eg, ISO, OSHA, CE/UKCA)
- Experience with machinery safety, PUWER, and LOTO
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
