Defence Government/MOD PMO Analyst/Project Manager - £35 per hour Umbrella - Bristol/Remote (Contract)

Location: Remote/Bristol Country: UK Rate: £35 per hour Umbrella
 

We are recruiting for a PMO Analyst/Project Manager on contract working for a leading Defence & Space based in Bristol 3 days per week and Remote for 2 days.

You will require to have worked in Aviation, Defence & Space, Military or MOD background

Working alongside the engineering community, the Landing Gear Operations team deliver operational management solutions for project & performance management, resource management and people development to enable the Landing Gear engineering domain to excel.

As a Business & Project Management Partner, you will be welcomed into a diverse and dynamic team and operationally deployed to one of our engineering programme teams.

Your tasks will include:
Assuring that business and project management processes are followed within your engineering programme team.

Building and maintaining robust integrated plans with all stakeholders involved.

Maintaining a credible resource and financial plan.

Promoting a mindset of anticipation to identify and act on potential risks, opportunities and workload evolution.

Assuring that internal resourcing and external engineering service supplier activities are launched in line with the plan and managed in accordance with policy and processes.

Proactively managing the collation & reporting of key performance indicators to ensure that the business management data is readily available for effective performance management.

Providing guidance and mentoring to our engineering community on business and project management.

Supporting the implementation of Business/Project Management best practices and enabling a culture of continuous improvement.

As a member of our team we are looking for a person who is:

Experienced in Business Management and/or Project Management.

Looking for a candidate who can act as a central point for the Landing Gear Team.

Needs to have an understanding of business acumen and program management

Functional aspect of engineering, making sure clear visibility of resourcing, costing of functional centre

Will also be managing budgets, planning, contracts management, risk management

Behaviours - someone who can work autonomously, not afraid to get stuck in and be very enthusiastic.

Work load management, planning. MOD background.

Not looking for a full-on project manager
